Smoltz

Smoltz is a member of the Madam President's species, as well as her Chief of Staff. He uses his position to manipulate the situation to benefit Evil Emperor Zurg, since he also works as an agent of Zurg.

History

As an agent of Zurg, Smoltz purposely chooses the Ranger Mira Nova rather than Buzz Lightyear as Madam President's security detail for her vacation because Emperor Zurg knows he can beat the princess.

When they crash land on planet Karn, he insists on trying to use the flare, radio, and phone to send a distress signal as a means of rescue. However, he is secretly trying to make a signal that Zurg can track so he can capture the President.

In the end, his plans fail, and he and Zurg are reduced to running from the wildlife of the planet. Smoltz even comments that he may have joined the wrong side.
