- As the name implies, the character is based and named after the late radio DJ and actor, Casey Kasem.
- Although a credited role in "The Beasts of Karn," the character doesn't seem to appear in the episode at all.
- The character was likely meant to appear when Buzz Lightyear and Mira Nova were helping Ozma Furbanna boost the satellite dish's frequency on Karn, and going through the various radio wave frequencies.
