Fop Doppler

Fop Doppler is the second Tangean Space Ranger after Mira Nova. He joined Star Command out of a challenge to complete basic Space Ranger training. He surprisingly completed his training and became one of the highest ranking Space Rangers ever.

Physical Appearance

Like Mira, he is a Tangean Royal, complete with light blue skin. However, he has a rather prominent nose and sports a blond pompadour-like hairstyle instead of the red hair color Mira and her father have.

Personality

The only other Tangean to enjoy being a Space Ranger, Fop is a very bouncy sort of individual. Unlike his fellow Tangeans who consider themselves to be higher than other life forms, Fop holds a lot of enthusiasm for anything he thinks is exciting or foreign to him, such as joining Star Command, or trying to marry Mira.

He doesn't let his eagerness get in the way of fighting bad guys. When he fights his enemies, he can fight them off without losing his cool and good-natured disposition.

He speaks with a slight British accent, much like the RAF (Royal Air Force) pilots did in World War II, saying phrases like "wot, wot!"

Abilities

• Like most Tangean Royals, he can use ghost through walls and have the ability to read minds, although he did not need them to defeat Lord Angstrom and the Tangean Grounders.

Trivia

• If one were to look closely at Fop's appearance, he might look similar to Conan O'Brien, host to his show Conan!
• Fop's accent and personality, depending on one's intrepretation, may have come from the Redwall series written by Brian Jacques. Some of his characters, the Long Patrol, were based on RAF pilots.
• The name Doppler is a referrence to the Doppler effect, in which an objects observed wavelength changes in correlation to the direction the object is moving.
