Buzz is a one-dimensional individual. Despite being socially awkward, however, he is an honest man and a hard-worker. He believes that diligence pays off, and that taking short cuts often times leads to complications. He's a man by the book, and also the man that ''wrote'' the book; he wrote over half of the ''Space Ranger Mission Manual''. He is not comfortable with lying most of the times, but he ''does'' tell a cover story in the aptly-named episode ''Little Secrets''. | Buzz is a one-dimensional individual. Buzz Lightyear is the main character of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. He was first introduced in The Adventure Begins and has appeared in a total of 60 episodes. He is seen as a well-built human who never takes off his purple hood, with that same swirl donning atop his chin. He is voiced by Tim Allen in the DVD version of The Adventure Begins and by Patrick Warburton throughout the rest of the series.
History
Little is known about Buzz's history or childhood besides the fact that he was born on the planet Morph in the Gamma Quadrant in Sector 4 and grew up hearing all about Star Command and always wanting to be a Space Ranger. He grew up with his Nana, most likely, as revealed to us in episodes like The Holiday, Stress Test and The Main Event, seeing as she is the only relative he ever mentions. Never has he mentioned his mother or father.
Characteristics
Buzz is a one-dimensional individual. Despite being socially awkward, however, he is an honest man and a hard-worker. He believes that diligence pays off, and that taking short cuts often times leads to complications. He's a man by the book, and also the man that wrote the book; he wrote over half of the Space Ranger Mission Manual. He is not comfortable with lying most of the times, but he does tell a cover story in the aptly-named episode Little Secrets.
