The Protector was the one who overthrew and entombed the space mummy Natron thousands of years ago on Planet X.

- It is possible that the Protector is connected to either Buzz Lightyear or Mira Nova in some way, as Natron seemed to think one of them was the Protector when he first laid eyes on them.
