King Nova is Mira's father, and obviously the king of Tangea. Throughout most of the series, you will notice that the King is very disaproving of anyone outside his family or circle of close people.
Because of this, he never approves of Mira being a Space Ranger. In the episode Mira's Wedding, King Nova sets up Mira to be married to Fop Doppler.
