==Physical description==
Although an aging [[human]], Nebula is well-built, with a broad chest and shoulders. He has medium tan skin, a large chin, and a large gray mustache and gray eyebrows. He is never seen without his thermal hood. His mustache occasionally mirrors his mood by curling or prickling whenever he is agitated. His left leg was cut off at the knee at some unknown point, and has been replaced by a peg leg which doubles as a plasma cannon. His attire is typical of all [[Space Ranger]]s, with the only exception being a large golden Star Command emblem as the chest plate.

==History==
In the past, Nebula assumed the role of undercover bounty hunter [[Shiv Katall]], and smuggled defecting minions from [[Zurg|Evil Emperor Zurg]] into the [[Galactic Alliance]]. However, he later passed on the role to [[Buzz Lightyear]], though whether it was due to old age or the loss of his leg is unclear.

==Personality and traits==
He has a no-nonsense{{Cite book|the good the bad and the robotic}} attitude.

Loudmouthed, hard-headed and somewhat abrasive, Nebula is known for his short temper and hatred of all things bureaucratic, including paperwork.

He is an excellent leader, as he never orders his Rangers into a situation he would not go into himself. He does not have tolerance for insubordination, though he has the grace to admit when he's made a bad call. It's worth mentioning that Nebula can act like a stern father figure to his Rangers when he needs to, whether he's keeping them out of danger or talking some sense into them. He does have a warm side deep down, and is very proud of his Rangers when they do a good job. He even calls Buzz "son" occasionally, and this has extended to other Rangers as well.

It's also noted that Nebula hates robots, but he does seem to be lightening up to them, slowly accepting [[XR]] and [[XL]] into the Star Command community.

==Physical description==
Large and broad-shouldered, Torque is a male alien of an unknown species possessing four arms, five eyes, and two legs. He has three thick fingers on each hand and frond-like appendages on the top of his head. He possesses strips of brown facial hair just below his mouth, which might not even be hair. He is usually seen wearing his biker-like outfit, complete with red shirt and boots, and a long brown overcoat.

==History==
Torque's early history is largely unknown, although he claims his parents were "filthy rich" until he ripped off their retirement. He had multiple run-ins with [[Star Command]], which resulted in him being wanted in all fifty sectors for charges of terrorism, arson, smuggling, and having unpaid parking tickets.

Shortly after the formation of Team Lightyear, Torque found himself getting arrested by the team of [[Space Ranger]]s and is placed aboard a prison bus alongside other interstellar prisoners. Their transit, however, is interrupted by Zurg's [[Hornet]]s, who capture him and bring him to [[Planet Z]], where Zurg experiments on him. This experimentation gives him the power to clone himself, and since then he has become an even more dangerous foe.

==Personality and traits==
Torque is harsh, cunning, and traitorous, and behaves like a biker, frequently committing crimes and riding around on a futuristic motorcycle. His love of money is only rivaled by his love of causing chaos wherever he goes. Torque's speech is littered with faux terms of affection, such as referring to most people as "baby" or "honey".

The only people Torque seems to respect are his own clones, whom he treats with genuine courtesy and reverence.

==Powers and abilities==
Though Torque is skilled at brawling, he prefers to use firearms when on the job. Due to his four arms, he is able to wield four weapons at once. He is also skilled at operating vehicles as well, most frequently space-faring motorcycles.

After being freed from a prison transport by Zurg, the [[Grub]]s implanted a cell-separation device upon his chest, allowing him to self-replicate and produce countless identical clones. These clones, however, are unstable, and are easily destroyed by a single hit from any weapon. The Clone device also makes it easy to identify the real Torque, suggesting the device cannot replicate himself.

Warp is a blue humanoid who has periwinkle skin and navy blue hair that he keeps cropped short, flanked by sideburns.

In his Academy days, he had curly, Afro-like hair and still had both arms.

He currently sports a chin-strip beard and he has sharp, squarish features. He is broad-shouldered and muscular, and is usually seen wearing body armor colored red and purple. He originally wore a helmet that came with the armor, but he ceased wearing it after defeating Buzz on Planet Z. After losing his right arm, he now possesses a cyberbiotic<ref name="The Adventure Begins DVD" /> arm with four claws that can morph into an array of [[Weaponry|weapons]], including a flamethrower.

==History==
===Early life===
Very little is known about Warp’s past, when he became a Junior Space Ranger, or when he signed up for the [[Space Ranger Academy]].

===Academy Years and Star Command===
Warp was trained to be a Space Ranger at the academy alongside [[Buzz Lightyear]], and the two developed a strong though competitive friendship. They worked well together and became a top-notch team as partners and friends. Secretly however, Warp had begun accepting bribes from Emperor Zurg to act as his double agent within Star Command, secretly acting against them for years.

One day, while searching a moon for three [[Little Green Men (LGMs)]] that had gone missing, they discovered a hidden base belonging to Zurg, who had kidnapped the LGMs. Buzz and Warp rescued the LGMs, but Zurg activated the base self-destruct sequence on his way out, and Warp ended up pinned under rubble caused by the fight. Buzz tried to free his friend, but Warp insisted that he leave him behind and get the LGMs to safety. Buzz refused, causing Warp to activate Buzz's rocket pack. It propelled him out just as the lair exploded, seemingly killing Warp.

===As Agent Z===
In truth, Warp was not killed in the explosion, as everyone had thought. Instead, Zurg took him back to [[Planet Z]] and had him rebuilt with cybernetic parts to become his new top henchman, dubbed "Agent Z".

He then sent Agent Z out to the home planet of the LGMs to steal the [[Uni-Mind]], the mystical orb that links all the LGMs together. Buzz and his new robot partner [[XR]] arrived on the scene, but with Agent Z's knowledge of Buzz's fighting style and moves, he easily escaped with the Uni-Mind.

Later, Buzz (having escaped from Zurg's Uni-Mind ray) infiltrated Planet Z, attempting to confront the evil emperor himself. However, Agent Z appeared and ambushed him before being overpowered by the space ranger. Warp is then forced to reveal himself to Buzz, explaining that he had been working for Zurg long since their days at the Academy. With Buzz hopelessly cornered, Warp was eager to have his former partner work alongside him (against the space ranger's will). However, Warp became surprised when [[Team Lightyear]] appeared, thwarting him and foiling his plot.

After Zurg was defeated, Warp was taken into custody by Star Command's patrol. However, he later escaped and since then, frequently clashed with Buzz and Star Command while completing missions for the evil emperor.

In "[[Downloaded]]", Warp put the Galactic Alliance in complete chaos only for [[Team Lightyear]] to stop his plan. He was put in hot water with Zurg, only to find a reprieve when it turns out XR downloaded all the alliance's information. Warp kidnapped XR after getting him away from [[Rentwhistle Swack]] and taunted the angry robot on how his knowledge will greatly benefit Zurg who would find it interesting. After delivering XR, Warp stood by pleased while Zurg extracted info from the robot. When Team Lightyear arrived, he taunted them on their late arrival and had the [[Hornet]]s attack.

==Personality and traits==
From an early age, Warp was evidently the type of person to stoop to any means necessary to achieve his goals. He was not above cheating or stealing to get his way, but was not above giving into cowardice when the odds were against him.

During his time working alongside Buzz as a double agent, Warp was shown to be very proactive, preferring immediate, drastic action while dismissing the menial tasks like doing mission logs (he considered it as a waste of time, and not worth reading by others).

He is somewhat picky about his appearance{{Cite episode|24}}, and seems to prefer taking the easy way out of situations. He is also sarcastic and snide, ready to dish out opprobrious remarks when he's up for the task.

==Skills and abilities==
Although originally possessing no powers or abilities beyond his peak physical condition, Warp has proven himself to be an excellent combatant and marksman, being able to use any form of weaponry and even holding his own against the likes of Buzz and XR.

===Cyberbiotic arm===
Warp Darkmatter's organic right arm has been replaced with a cyberbiotic arm from the shoulder down. The appendage consists of a spherical shoulder prosthetic connected by two flexible tubes to a tapered cylindrical unit. The shoulder and arm are almost completely silver in color with the exception of a circular area on the shoulder prosthetic which is purple.

Warp's arm features a modular system that allows various weapons and tools to be equipped or exchanged in short order. Warp's default tool is a set of metallic claws which not only function as his right hand but also have the ability to increase and reduce in length, spin rapidly (allowing him to cut through glass) and can be fired like a cannon ball. Warp can exchange his metallic claws for various other weapons such as a flamethrower, plasma cannon and a disintegration ray gun. Warp's arm also has a built-in communicator which he regularly uses to talk with Zurg and to command his Hornets. Warp's shoulder prosthetic is able to shoot spiked bombs with enough velocity to partially pierce an airlock.

Warp's arm also has a storage system built into it, which has been shown to contain at least one type of sidearm and a plasma charge. When needed, a hatch can open on his arm and the desired items can be dispensed. Warp's arm has been shown to contain at least 2 blaster pistols and a plasma charge but it is highly likely that his arm contains a larger number and variety of items since, when Buzz asked if he could borrow a plasma charge, Warp was able to provide him with one even though such a device or Warp's ability to produce one had yet to be seen, indicating that Buzz had witnessed Warp produce and use one in the past during an unlisted encounter.

Warp's shoulder prosthetic has been shown to be compatible with additional hardware, as seen during the events of "[[Large Target]]", in which he had switched out his regular arm unit for a large [[Hornet]] yellow blaster unit. This weapon system was mounted to Warp's shoulder via a simple black hardpoint rather than the normal silver metal tube and shaft Warp's default arm unit used.

Gravitina is a turquoise humanoid of unknown species. She is typically seen wearing a pink bodice with matching high heels and gloves. A cape accents her outfit, she has triangular gold earrings, and she wears a purple gem necklace, which floats around her neck.

Gravitina's most prominent physical trait is her large head. It is almost reminiscent of a planet, given it has its own "planetary ring" and three floating spherical objects reminiscent of tiny moons that circle it.

==History==
During her youth, she apparently didn't go to her prom.

She returns in "[[Sunquake]]", where she is allied with the [[Buzz Lightyear (alternate universe)|Evil Buzz]]. It is revealed she found him while he was lost drifting in space and initially mistook him for the good Buzz until realizing otherwise and was more than pleased to find a version of Buzz that was already evil and they started making plans. She achieved her goal of being with Buzz in a way, with her and Evil Buzz giving each other couple names. Soon Evil Buzz adopted his counterpart's old persona of the bounty hunter [[Shiv Katall]], using to steal various materials needed for a space station in orbit around the sun. This station was positioned, so that Gravitina could use her powers to produce devastating sunquakes that would send streaks of molten plasma hurtling around the galaxy. Eventually, Evil Buzz was pursued by Buzz and [[Mira Nova]] confronted him and Gravitina aboard their space station. After Gravitina revealed how she and Evil Buzz got together, the two proceeded to launched attacks to various areas. However, Good Buzz sabotaged the ship and Evil Buzz showed his true colors by abandoning Gravitina when the station stated to come apart, and seemingly fell into the sun and perished after being incinerated.

XL is what has been described as a "Frankenstein's monster" sort of robot; he possesses a head similar to XR's, but red, and with smaller, beady eyes, one of which is yellow and larger than the other.

His original Star Command body was a near exact duplicate of the one XR has except for having only one tread and a more rectangular dome.

His pieced together body contained parts from several different robots, all connected to a huge body, giving him an intimidating look.

Upon reforming, his body is now a photocopier/fax machine, with one tread like his original body and thin arms.

==History==
===Early history===
XL was originally created by the [[Little Green Men (LGMs)|LGMs]] to be the first robotic [[Space Ranger]], but due to his violent and destructive personality, [[Nebula|Commander Nebula]] gave the order to have the rogue robot deactivated. All information regarding the creation and development of XL was later placed into the XL file, which was made accessible only to Commander Nebula himself. This event was what led to Nebula's prejudice against robots and the idea of a robot ranger in particular, though like [[XR]] after him the LGMs got permission to build him by sneaking the authorization form in with one of their vacation requests, which he would often sign without looking.

===XL===
Some time after the creation of XR and the formation of Team Lightyear, [[Evil Emperor Zurg]] reactivated XL to help him destroy Star Command. XL had every intent to take revenge upon Nebula for shutting him down. Prior to facing Commander Nebula, XL proceeded to steal state-of-the-art robot parts from both Star Command and other robotic facilities across the galaxy, using them to assemble a new, much larger body to use. His heists soon caught the attention of Star Command, who then deployed Team Lightyear to catch the culprit. XL soon revealed himself to the team. After some digging, Buzz and XR soon learned from Commander Nebula of XL's origins at Star Command. Later on, XL soon broke into Star Command and kidnapped the Commander, imprisoning him in a cage beneath a field of lasers within the robot's asteroid home. Here he revealed his intentions to his "father" to claim revenge on him. Team Lightyear, however, was able to mount a rescue by pursuing XL's asteroid base, successfully breaking through its primary defenses. Seeing that his enemies were about to break through, XL started to lower the laser grid onto Nebula with the intent of using it to kill him. When Team Lightyear eventually entered the heart of XL's lair, most of its members were incapacitated by the robot's weapons, with XR notably being torn to pieces. Fortunately, Buzz was not captured, and was able to reassemble XR so he could plug into a computer terminal and activate all the robot parts lying around, commanding them to attack XL. As they did, XL was knocked down, and the traps that held Mira Nova, Booster, and Commander Nebula were deactivated. Afterwards, Team Lightyear was left to wonder exactly who had XL reactivated...

===The Return of XL===
Furious after being defeated by XR, XL examined their blueprints and determined that only one component appeared to be different between them: XR possessed an "AFD." Believing the component to be the cause of his defeat, XL captured XR and removed it, installing it in himself. Later, he captured XR again after his "younger brother" took a delivery job in hopes of being able to obtain a replacement. XR ended up bringing XL the final component for his latest evil invention, a dangerously modified version of a Star Command g-force trainer. XL put XR in the machine and set it running, capturing the rest of [[Team Lightyear]] when they arrived to rescue their friend. However, the investigations of XR's teammates led to a surprise revelation: AFD stood for Air-Freshening Device, installed by the LGMs due to their dislike of how XR smelled. Realizing that he had not lost a vital component, XR threw several coins out as he was being propelled by the g-force machine, destroying it and damaging XL.

===Bunzel Fever===
XL later hired [[Torque]] to bring him a special component on [[Trade World]], which allowed him to upgrade himself with more powerful robotic limbs. Though he initially posed a considerable threat to Team Lightyear, he was defeated yet again when [[Booster Munchapper]], under the influence of [[Jo-Adian]] [[Bunzel Fever]], ripped him apart after mistaking him for a [[Bunzel]]. After being ripped apart and hearing Booster shout "Bunzel!" a few times, XL asked, "Why does he keep saying that?"

===Head Case===
In yet another plot to get revenge on Star Command, XL kidnapped XR and stole his body, disguising his head so that he could impersonate his younger brother and infiltrate Star Command. Succeeding in doing so, he planted a bomb intended to destroy the station, but found himself unable to escape. Mistaken for XR, who, due to a misunderstanding, was believed to be showing signs of mental fatigue, he was taken to a therapy session. His plan was ultimately thwarted when XR managed to escape using XL's discarded body and then helped Buzz realize that he was the true XR, which led Buzz to return XR to his own body so that he could disable the bomb.

===Revenge of the Monsters===
Some time later, XL formed an alliance with [[NOS-4-A2]], the two of them infiltrating Star Command and capturing [[Ty Parsec]] in order to turn him into [[Wirewolf]]. The first stage of their plan complete, the trio traveled to [[Planet Z]], where they succeeded in ousting Zurg and taking over. However, XL began to get an inkling of his lesser role in the alliance, as NOS-4-A2 was quick to claim dominion over Zurg's fortress. XL then fulfilled his primary task, creating a machine that would spread Ty's affliction to other organic beings, providing NOS-4-A2 with a virtually unlimited food supply. Sensing his increasing lack of use to NOS-4-A2 as anything but another meal, XL volunteered to hunt down Buzz and XR, who managed to help him see the error of his ways. Returning to his original purpose, XL helped defeat NOS-4-A2 and undo their evil plans. Subsequently, his head was attached to a copying machine and he was allowed to rejoin the Star Command staff, despite Nebula's unease at the notion.

==Personality and traits==
Being an early prototype artificial intelligence, XL's personality is highly unstable, erratic and prone to irrational behavior. Due to feelings of abandonment and inadequacy, he constantly seeks to physically improve himself to the point of physical superiority, despite lacking the mental faculties to match. Due to this, XL is difficult to overpower, but easy to outsmart, and more often than not is the victim of his own actions when defeated. He also can't seem to understand literary sayings, as in the case of "[[Revenge of the Monsters]]".

Despite his long list of crimes and personality defects, deep down, all XL truly wants is the love and respect he never had from those he holds close to him, especially Commander Nebula. Unfortunately, he will go to any means necessary in order to attain that respect, no matter how insane his actions may seem.

==Powers and abilities==
When XL was a villain, he had a series of weapons and equipment at hand due to his mismatched parts. Most were secured in his two arms, both of which were different and were used for different tasks, as well as his chassis.
===Chassis===
Stolen from one of the latest warbots, XL's chassis had the ability to deflect the Rangers' laser attacks due to its armarillium plating. It contained a rocket in the back compartment that allowed XL to fly and stored nets that he used for capturing.
===Left Arm===
XL's left arm was stolen from a research facility originally used for conducting experiments on objects and performing delicate work. However, XL used it to spew corrosive acid that could easily eat through metal, and because of its ability to extend, XL would use it to grab objects from a long distance. This arm's ability to spew acid also allows him to easily escape from prison.
===Right Arm===
XL's right arm was probably the most complex and diverse of all his attachments, modified to suit his needs as an arsenal of weapons. It could morph into three guns, each with a different set of abilities. The first gun could shoot bolts of plasma; the second, appearing almost like a machine gun, fired off laser blasts; the third, the largest of the three, looked like a cannon that shot the largest and deadliest plasma bolts.

Besides morphing into guns, his arm could also morph into a sawblade, a drill, a studded mace, an egg-beater, a sledgehammer, and a strange sort of drill with metal clamps around it that XR once called a "drill with teeth". His arm could also spark with electricity and send electrical currents at people to stun them.

Last, but not least, XL's right arm had a compartment similar to his chassis where he stored nets, and a special customized compartment with three distinctly-labeled buttons: ''blaster'', ''acid'' and ''escape from prison''. (Ironically, only his ''left'' arm could shoot acid and when the last button was once activated by XR during the events of "[[Head Case]]", it activated his ''left'' arm to shoot acid at the bars and escape.)

==Trivia==
* Unlike XR, whose name is shorthand for "Experimental Ranger", XL's full name is unknown. His name is, however, a pun on ''extra large'', which suited his large, mismatched body as a villain.
* Zurg's specific reasoning for reactivating XL is unknown, and may have been done simply to create a new threat to Star Command and perhaps help him destroy his enemies. However, it is possible that Zurg somehow found the deactivated XL laying around somewhere, then took him back to Planet Z and reactivated him out of realization that he could turn one of Star Command's old robots against team Lightyear. Upon reactivation, XL soon joined Zurg after telling him about his intent to get revenge on Star Command for his deactivation. Apparently Zurg took advantage of XL's lust for revenge.
* XL's entire character is a nod to Frankenstein's Monster. Much like the monster, XL has a body made up of the parts of other robots, a desire to take revenge on his creator/"father", and sometimes destroys things even when he doesn't intend to.
** Like Frankenstein's monster, XL had screws placed around his head.

Princess Mira Nova isn't your typical princess. She is hot-headed, impulsive, and desperate to be on the front lines rather than sitting on a throne. Unlike other Tangeans, Mira is perfectly comfortable interacting with other races, lacking the elitist attitudes shared by the rest of her people. Although humble, she can at times be arrogant and cocky, often times clashing with Buzz, her captain. She can be impatient, and has a tendency to fall into long strings of stream-of-conscious babbling; a habit throughout the series.

Despite these shortcomings, she is a good friend and strong fighter to her team. She is an excellent shot, and along with that hard head, she won't quit until given the order. She is also confident in her abilities, although a little careless at times. XR is an LGM sized robot that sports Star Command's colors (purple, green, white) and logo on his chassis. He possesses short arms and legs which can stretch out to any length he wants. He also possesses continuous treads encased in green feet and has a pair of purple hands. His head is surrounded by an oval glass dome.

XR built by the [[LGMs]] from a "collection of leftover gizmos"{{Cite book|the good the bad and the robotic}} as the second robot [[Space Ranger]], following the failure of the original XL model. Created with an artificial intelligence chip for a brain,{{Cite book|the good the bad and the robotic}} he was programmed to learn from one of the best Rangers, [[Buzz Lightyear]]. The Little Green Men went behind Commander Nebula's jurisdiction and Star Command recruitment protocols when they inducted XR as a ranger, defending that the commander authorized it, unwittingly, after signing the LGMs vacation request through which they apparently slipped XR's acceptance form (and apparently, they do this kind of thing a lot, with Commander Nebula being none the wiser). On his first mission, he imitated Buzz repeatedly during their attempt to save the [[Planet of the Little Green Men|LGM homeworld]] from the [[Evil Emperor Zurg]]'s dark forces, and was destroyed by Buzz's old partner in Zurg's employment, [[Warp Darkmatter]] (now Agent Z). The LGMs attempted to rebuild him, but the loss of their [[Uni-Mind]] to Zurg left them off their game, leading them to rebuild him with improper parts. This gave him a human, less professional personality, and he was temporarily reassigned as a janitor alongside [[Booster Munchapper]] until he eventually joined Buzz's team after helping him save the galaxy from Zurg's Uni-Mind powered mind control machine.

==Personality and traits==
Originally XR was obedient and dutiful, imitating all Buzz's actions to learn how to act as a ranger, to the veteran hero's annoyance at first. During his first mission with Buzz, XR would quickly gain the admiration of his partner, adapting to the changing combat situations on the LGM homeworld and beginning to develop a personality in the short time the two space rangers had spent together... This would be short lived however, and following his rebuilding, he developed a huge ego and sarcastic sense of humor.

Before his first encounter with Agent Z, XR put all his efforts into assimilating character traits and acumen from his partner and mentor Buzz Lightyear, and had he been allowed to continue along this path, XR may have become an equally legendary space ranger in his own right. Nowadays, despite having great intelligence, XR's personality is deeply selfish and self-serving, frequently looking out for his own self-interests rather than the good of the universe. Should an opportunity for money, women or fame present itself, XR's priorities are known to flip in an instant. He is as childish as [[Booster Munchapper|Booster]], and will openly tease and taunt those around him for his own amusement. He also gets cocky after a single success, yet fearful after he can't repeat the same success twice. Fortunately though, in spite of his numerous personality flaws, XR is genuinely loyal to his friends and team, and at his core, is a dedicated and benevolent Space Ranger.

*XR's body and components are constructed of a terillium-carbonic alloy, much like the Space Rangers' Pulsar-400 Enviro-Suits, which as Buzz has stated "will stop any blast short of a supernova" during the events of [[The Plasma Monster]]. Due to XR's nature as a fully modular robotic construct, the LGMs weren't limited to the constraints associated with creating space suits. He possesses many pop-out gadgets and weapons, and a special chest cavity behind his a hatch bearing the Star Command logo, with this internal space being capable of storing and deploying a wide variety of objects, tools, gadgets and technologies, which can be much larger than XR himself thanks to his miraculous storage technology. XR's head is not attached to his body, floating freely inside his space helmet, his CP-22 Series robotic eyes are able to shed tears, at an impressive rate in some cases, his head is able to sweat, and he has the ability to spit non-toxic fluids of unknown composition from his mouth. While damaged by [[Shrieker]]s, XR burped a small electric bolt.

*Despite his immature and irresponsible behavior, XR possesses supernatural intelligence, 2000 gigabytes of memory (which is so well optimized that he can store and process far more information than this amount of data storage/access would normally permit for a computer marketed to consumers in our world as of 2022), has knowledge of all the Space Ranger rules and regulations and combat maneuvers. He also has the ability to read and write (though his writing abilities are lackluster). He has enhanced physical agility and speed and superhuman physical strength. He has the ability to be rebuilt after any damage he receives, either by the LGMs that built him, members of Team Lightyear, or via self-repair systems, depending on severity. Though XR is known to fall apart without much effort, his parts in themselves are highly durable, allowing him to survive many instances that would otherwise be fatal to a Space Ranger. And more surprisingly, XR usually continues to remain cognizant and in his right mind, even while suffering from crippling battle damage, as was the case after taking a direct hit from the weapons of a Vulturan Raider's starship.

*'''Body Storage:''' At first glance, XR appears to be quite limited in how much equipment he can store inside of his body, but thanks to some ingenious LGM engineering, this small body of his has more than enough capacity to store and deploy a wide array of items, tools, gadgets and weapons, not to mention attachments and replacement parts. To serve in his job as a Space Ranger, XR has at least two versions of the standard Star Command jetpack built into his chassis, he can deploy multiple guns from his back and hands, and also has one big gun in his chest. He has many other features such as a built-in stove, a jamming signal emitter, and even a portable mirror ball. Altogether, XR's inventory is vast indeed, so it's not hard to understand why the little Robo-Ranger has a few nonsensical items mixed in.

*'''Jetpacks''': As mentioned above, XR has been equipped with and used at least 2 different Star Command issue jetpacks during his time as a rookie Space Ranger. The model he most commonly uses has the appearance of a small stereotypical rocket complete with little swept fins attached near the bottom half of the unit. This metallic-white colored jetpack is powerful enough to propel XR to superluminal velocities in the vacuum of space and also allows him to fly in planetary atmospheres comfortably, being easily capable of propelling XR from the surface of a planet to orbit without any issue. The rocket shaped jetpack is shown to be capable of being overclocked with a simple flip of a switch built into a tool arm normally stored inside XR's chest cavity, when the switch is flipped the jetpack can propel targets with much larger masses to their destinations but at the cost of the ride being highly uncomfortable as the overboosted jetpack and its guidance systems repeatedly perform random maneuvers as they try to compensate for the dramatic increase in performance. While never directly specified, one could argue that this particular modification was the work of XR himself, rather than the LGMs, since XR has been shown to be self-conscious about how others perceive him, especially Commander Nebula, and because the LGMs' access to the Uni-mind often leaves little room for unoptimized engineering of already established technologies. XR's other option is a small standard Star Command jetpack built into his body, which also includes retractable wings to help him glide. This standard issue jetpack proved instrumental in the removal of a Karnian Slime-Beast from Star Cruiser 42's bridge when XR remote controlled the jetpack wirelessly and forced the creature through the bridge's open airlock and into the brig during the events of [[The Beasts of Karn]].

One could argue that XR rivals a Sirician Army Knife when it comes to the number and variety of tools built into his body. Many of these tools could be considered to be extra appendages because the implements are often connected to very spindly but extremely sturdy robotic arms that extend out of his chest cavity or the center circle of the Star Command logo, with these articulated robotic arms affording XR easy movement and manipulation of the attached tools. On more than one mission, XR made use of miniature robotic arms with little purple colored hands, once to make much needed self repairs, another time to throw a magnet grenade, and on a third occasion, he used one of these little hands to revive a comatose Booster with, of all things... an outrageously putrid smelling sock!

Booster was born on a farm on the planet [[Jo-Ad]]. Raised a farm boy, he developed a strong relationship with his best friend [[Buster]], as the two grew up on the farm together, playing at [[Space Ranger]]s and idolizing [[Buzz Lightyear]].

Booster also teamed up with Buzz once, working together to stop the [[Zurg|Evil Emperor Zurg]] from attacking the farm with his Mega Hornet.

Soon after, he was brought to Star Command by Buzz{{Cite}} hoping that he would be trained as a Space Ranger himself, much to Buster's jealousy, but was instead assigned as one of the space station's janitors. Throughout his shifts, he is seen expressing his desire to become a Space Ranger, showing off his studying by quoting word-for-word phrases from the [[Space Ranger Mission Manual]]. He becomes quick friends with [[XR]] and [[Mira Nova]] under Buzz's watch, as all four are soon thrust into the ultimate mission to save the galaxy from the sinister clutches of Zurg himself. After the Evil Emperor's defeat, Booster is then inducted before an onlooking crowd in Capital Plaza and joins the newly-formed ranks of Team Lightyear, his dream finally a reality.

Born and raised on the agricultural planet of Jo-Ad, Booster is a simple boy with innocence and kindness abound. While not coming off as the brightest star in the sky, he is very loyal, gentle, faithful, and trustworthy to his friends, making him a great ally to gain whenever danger arises. He is a gentle giant, easily the largest member on his team, and he is officially Buzz Lightyear's biggest fan.

Booster can be, although rarely, capable of jealousy. Once, he developed a crush on [[Petra Hammerhold]], [[Hammerhold|Senator Hammerhold]]'s daughter, and when she took a liking to [[Plasma Boy]] instead of him, he nearly allowed his jealousy to cause the boy's death. Prior to the series, it is only hinted in passing that Ty Parsec has had previous history with Buzz Lightyear; the latter being the one always rescuing Ty from distress or danger. Because of this, Ty resented being in Buzz’s shadow.

It is not shown or elaborated as to how Ty became a Space Ranger, but at some point he is stationed out on Canis Lunis, where he guards a research facility.

===On Canis Lunis===
While on Canis Lunis, Ty is bitten by NOS-4-A2, and subsequently begins transforming into the Wirewolf under the light of the radioactive moon. After attacking a sentry and [[XR]], he realizes what is happening and warns Buzz. [[Team Lightyear]] are able to destroy the moon, seemingly ending the Wirewolf curse. However, NOS-4-A2 slips away with a small moon rock.

===Wirewolf aftermath===
Due to the potential security threat he poses should he ever transform again, Ty is removed from duty by [[Nebula|Commander Nebula]]. [[XL]] and NOS-4-A2 then capture him, and the energy vampire uses the moon rock to transform him back into the Wirewolf. He is then placed inside the Wirewolf cannon, allowing NOS-4-A2 to spread the Wirewolf curse across the galaxy. However, when the cannon is destroyed by Buzz and XR and the Wirewolf is freed, he turns on NOS-4-A2 and kills him. Buzz destroys the moon rock, reverting Ty back to his human form, and he is reinstated as a Space Ranger.

Tired of being in Buzz Lightyear's shadow, Ty Parsec is understandably dismissive and cynical of the former's near-perfect success. He doesn't possess the ever-positive outlook that Buzz Lightyear does, and is prone to grumpy tones and sarcastic remarks. However, he has a strong sense of duty and performs his job to the best of his ability.

He is also shown to be courageous and selfless, putting the needs of others before himself. He displayed his selflessness when he warned Team Lightyear to leave Canis Lunis when he figured out he was the Wirewolf, and when he defended Commander Nebula from [[XL]] while he was unarmed and temporarily discharged from [[Star Command]].

With a body of chrome-like metal with blue accents, the Wirewolf is a very noticeable creature. It can leap and bound on all fours or stand upright on its hind legs. Its claws are razor sharp, and its tail tapers off into an equally sharp point, and its teeth can chew through metal with almost no effort. It has luminous, bright red eyes and azure "facial hair" upon its snarling muzzle.

It has blue fins along its back (a stylized representation of the ridge of hair down a wolf's back), and its voice is uniquely dual-toned with mechanical and organic bits.

==History==
Wirewolf first came into being when Ty Parsec was bitten by the energy vampire, NOS-4-A2, then bathed in radioactive moonlight. From there, the Wirewolf wreaked havoc upon the research facility, and it took nearly all of [[Team Lightyear]] to stop it from eating the robots and threatening the scientists. The moon is destroyed, but NOS-4-A2 acquires a small chunk of it.

Later, showing that the curse was not gone, Wirewolf was brought out of Ty yet again, thanks to a fiendish scheme from NOS-4-A2 to turn everyone into wirewolves to facilitate his feeding.

After the last remaining chunk of moon rock is destroyed, the Wirewolf never surfaces again; however, Ty presumably still has the curse.

==Personality and traits==
Hostile and vicious, the Wirewolf shows mostly wolfish behaviour. It snaps at robots, rips them to shreds, and otherwise acts like a very large, nasty canine. He is then placed inside the Wirewolf cannon, allowing NOS-4-A2 to spread the Wirewolf curse across the galaxy. However, when the cannon is destroyed by Buzz and XR and the Wirewolf is freed, he turns on NOS-4-A2 and kills him. Buzz destroys the moon rock, reverting Ty back to his human form, and he is reinstated as a Space Ranger.

With a body of chrome-like metal with blue accents, the Wirewolf is a very noticeable creature. It can leap and bound on all fours or stand upright on its hind legs. Its claws are razor sharp, and its tail tapers off into an equally sharp point, and its teeth can chew through metal with almost no effort. It has luminous, bright red eyes and azure "facial hair" upon its snarling muzzle.

It has blue fins along its back (a stylized representation of the ridge of hair down a wolf's back), and its voice is uniquely dual-toned with mechanical and organic bits.

Wirewolf first came into being when Ty Parsec was bitten by the energy vampire, NOS-4-A2, then bathed in radioactive moonlight. From there, the Wirewolf wreaked havoc upon the research facility, and it took nearly all of [[Team Lightyear]] to stop it from eating the robots and threatening the scientists. The moon is destroyed, but NOS-4-A2 acquires a small chunk of it.

It is unknown how Zurg came to power, and little is revealed about his origins as an individual. He was raised on "evil bedtime stories" told by his mother, his favorite of which were tales of the ancient conqueror [[Natron]], who once ruled the universe.{{Cite episode|ancient evil}} He describes his youth as "carefree", and claims to have had a "Little Evil Emperor playset" which included a missile. He references his mother on several occasions, referring to her as "Ma" in a dream about being woken for school, and "Mom" in another dream when waving to her on TV. He also apparently had a grandmother he refers to as "Nana Zurg", whom he describes as "plenty evil". Whether he still has any living relatives is unknown, although he once claimed to be Buzz's father in a ploy to distract him, then mocked Buzz for falling for the ruse.

He governs a powerful, technologically-advanced empire, ruling from his home of Planet Z, which he refers to as a "grim, oppressive pit" he built with "the sweat and toil of others". Zurg rules his subjects as an absolute monarch, and many appear to serve him unwillingly, perhaps as slaves, though he also employs defectors such as Warp Darkmatter and the Roswellian Major.

The number of planets and sectors within Zurg's empire (referred to as "Zurg space") is unknown, although apparently he possesses his own quadrant, possibly the Zeta Quadrant. His borders are guarded by security satellites and warning buoys. One of his worlds is a barren, rocky colony which mines fusion crystals. He also possessed a subterranean outpost on an uncharted moon in the Zeta Quadrant, and once briefly annexed Roswell, renaming it Planet Z East.

When arriving on Capital Planet to accept the Galactic Alliance's surrender, he claims to have dreamed of that day since he was a "wee evil genius", but little is known about the reason for his grudge against them beyond a desire for power. He is especially fixated on Star Command, and most notably Buzz Lightyear, whom he refers to as his greatest enemy. It is implied Zurg has killed Space Rangers in the past, and he appears to have been opposing Star Command at least since Buzz's academy days, perhaps longer.

The Evil Emperor Zurg is not your usual despicably evil supervillain. Despite being the most evil and nefarious villain of the galaxy for years on end and a constant thorn in the side of Star Command, Zurg has been known to take himself less than seriously, and actually seems to have a well-developed (if demented) sense of humor. He does, however, pride himself in his showmanship, making strong efforts to present himself as a fearful and intimidating Emperor.

He governs a powerful, technologically-advanced empire, ruling from his home of Planet Z, which he refers to as a "grim, oppressive pit" he built with "the sweat and toil of others". Zurg rules his subjects as an absolute monarch, and many appear to serve him unwillingly, perhaps as slaves, though he also employs defectors such as Warp Darkmatter and the Roswellian Major.

The number of planets and sectors within Zurg's empire (referred to as "Zurg space") is unknown, although apparently he possesses his own quadrant, possibly the Zeta Quadrant. His borders are guarded by security satellites and warning buoys. One of his worlds is a barren, rocky colony which mines fusion crystals. He also possessed a subterranean outpost on an uncharted moon in the Zeta Quadrant, and once briefly annexed Roswell, renaming it Planet Z East.

When arriving on Capital Planet to accept the Galactic Alliance's surrender, he claims to have dreamed of that day since he was a "wee evil genius", but little is known about the reason for his grudge against them beyond a desire for power. He is especially fixated on Star Command, and most notably Buzz Lightyear, whom he refers to as his greatest enemy. It is implied Zurg has killed Space Rangers in the past, and he appears to have been opposing Star Command at least since Buzz's academy days, perhaps longer.

The Evil Emperor Zurg is not your usual despicably evil supervillain. Despite being the most evil and nefarious villain of the galaxy for years on end and a constant thorn in the side of Star Command, Zurg has been known to take himself less than seriously, and actually seems to have a well-developed (if demented) sense of humor. He does, however, pride himself in his showmanship, making strong efforts to present himself as a fearful and intimidating Emperor.

His evil schemes are routinely less-than-stellar in design (such as one scheme to make children afraid to eat their vegetables so that years later they would be too weak to fight when he invades, a plan which only Buzz thought clever), and he is quick to shunt the blame for failures onto others' shoulders (usually his [[Grub]]s or [[Brain Pod]]s). His main downfall whenever fighting against Buzz Lightyear, his nemesis, is the trademark error of every villain: the gloating monologue. It also has a built-in environmental system, allowing him to survive in the vacuum of space. The suit is also highly modular, allowing for additional attachments and systems when necessary.

Initially, [[Tim Allen]] was meant to reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear from ''[[Toy Story]]''. However, when scheduling difficulties prevented him from doing so, executive producers [[Tad Stones]], [[Mark McCorkle]] and [[Bob Schooley]] went over their original notes and found comments from [[John Lasseter]], the creator of ''Toy Story'', stating that he had always envisioned Buzz as "the ultimate cop in space." Warburton was pleased to have the opportunity to voice such an engaging and high profile role, and found it to be a lot of fun because it meant he could pretend to be a superhero. "I guess there's a bit of myself in Buzz, and there's a lot of Buzz in me," he stated. Unfortunately, without any animated footage to speak of during the time, even his own children began to doubt if he was truly voicing Buzz Lightyear for a new series. One of the Space Rangers Buzz and Warp are often sent on rescue missions to find Little Green Men on Uncharted Moon Buzz opening his mission log about a gaseous planet he arrives on, having found no forms of any intelligent life when he gets blinded by light by his partner Warp Darkmatter. Buzz promptly puts on his visor for a bit before continuing his investigation on the planet. After finishing his search, Buzz rides with his partner in the buggy with three little green men coming along. Buzz also believes the disappearance of the three aliens' friends was the work of his arch-nemesis Zurg, also the main foe of the Galactic Alliance. Just then Buzz and his partner were attacked by a trio of serpentine alien beasts called crater vipers, prompting them to take action against these monsters. However Buzz watches the little green men walk into a crater, much to his irritation. .{{Cite episode|00}}

Later, when Buzz invades Planet Z, Agent Z battles Buzz, but Buzz manages to defeat Agent Z and hold him at laser point. It was then that Agent Z removes his helmet and reveals himself to be Warp Darkmatter, shocking Buzz long enough for the latter to punch him unconscious. When Buzz regains consciousness, Warp reveals that he had been working for Zurg ever since his training days at the academy, serving as a spy within Star Command until he had learned of the Uni-Mind's existence. Warp also revealed that the previous kidnapping of the LGMs and the self-destruction sequence were nothing but ruses to fake his death in order to sever his ties with Star Command, and that he finds the epitome of evil to be more fun and profitable. This leaves Buzz so shocked and furious of the fact that he considered Warp as a close friend. Zurg then taunted Lightyear on his naive friendship with Darkmatter, and then plans to use the corrupt Uni-Mind to enslave him as well.{{Cite episode|00}}

Cargo Ship 99 is cleared for passage through the Gamma Quadrant when it is attacked by Warp Darkmatter (after he escaped from prison) and a group of [[Hornet|Hornets]]. Before Warp can destroy the [[Robot#Auto-Pilots|auto-pilot]], [[Buzz Lightyear]] appears from a hole in the floor, which he creates via his wrist laser, and disintegrates Warp's weapon. Warp orders the Hornets to attack, but [[Booster Munchapper|Booster]] (now a space ranger) drops down from a hole in the ceiling and crushes them. Before Booster can arrest him, Warp leaps over his head and activates his jet-pack, speeding down the corridor above. He contacts his back-up Hornets to rendezvous with him in the cargo hold, but is intercepted by [[XR]]. He knocks XR out of the air with the tip of one of his wings while the robot blathers, but his exit is blocked by [[Mira Nova|Mira]], who damages his jet-pack and sends him dropping to the ground. Taking advantage of Mira's stuttering attempt to arrest him, he fires two sticky bombs at her, but they pass through her. She is less than impressed, until they explode behind her. Warp is amused at their feeble attempts, until Buzz appears behind him and activates his jet-pack, which sends Warp flying for the ceiling and getting stuck. He orders the Hornets to attack him, and they send Buzz hurtling down into the cargo hold. As Booster and XR are following that order, Buzz and Mira end up in a bit of a snag with Warp, who is using a plasma cannon (which, as the two Space Rangers point out, is an outlawed weapon, and Buzz adds its use to Warp's criminal record) but just before that cannon can do the worst on them, they are saved by a mysterious force-field. At first, Buzz thinks it's one of Mira's powers and praises her for it, but she tells him that she isn't doing that and it's coming from a cargo-box that they are standing near... one that is labeled "NOS-4-A2".
After that, that same box temporarily levitates while draining all the energy from the Hornets and disintegrating the plasma cannon.
