<div style="text-align:justify; text-align-last:right;">NOS-4-A2 was a robotic energy vampire originally created by the Evil Emperor Zurg to take over Star Command. Over time, he became one of Team Lightyear's main adversaries. After a failed attempt to take over Planet Z, NOS-4-A2 was ultimately defeated and destroyed by Ty Parsec in his wirewolf form. </div>

Physical Appearance
<div style="text-align:justify; text-align-last:right;">Lithe and slender, NOS-4-A2's design resembles that of a typical vampire. His body is composed of sharp corners; pointed shoulders, taloned claws, and a body that ends in a sharp point. His head, resembling an upside-down triangle, sports a simple orange-colored right optic and a monocle-shaped left optic. His tongue is long and occasionally ends in a forked tip, and he possesses four fangs that are similar to drills to feed with.<br /><br />Like most robots, NOS-4-A2 "bleeds" servo-fluids, has a servo-pump for his "heart", and a motherboard for his "brain".</div>

History
NOS-4-A2
<div style="text-align:justify; text-align-last:right;">NOS-4-A2 was created in a lab on Planet Z by Zurg. Programming him to be swift, destructive and undefeatable, Zurg also provided the robot with plenty of information on Buzz Lightyear as part of the Evil Emperor's plot to take over Star Command. By hiring a cargo ship, Zurg disguised NOS-4-A2 as a piece of cargo that Team Lightyear inadvertently salvaged when Warp Darkmatter attacked the cargo ship. On the journey back to Star Command, however, when XR was given the task of checking up on the cargo, NOS-4-A2 emerged from his coffin and attacked him, leaving the ranger with two small bite marks on the side of his chassis, but no memory of the encounter.<br /><br />Afterward, once NOS-4-A2's coffin had been examined by the LGMs and left in Star Command's science bay with XR in sleep-mode nearby, the vampire emerged and set off to work. Waking XR, he ordered him to release him from the force-field protecting his coffin. Due to NOS-4-A2's having bitten him previously, XR was under his control. Once free, NOS-4-A2 carried out his main directive of taking over Star Command. With a few clever ruses he successfully led all Space Rangers away from the station. Unfortunately for him, thanks to a poor choice of words while disguising his voice to sound like Commander Nebula, Buzz and Mira realized something was amiss, returned, and encountered NOS-4-A2 for the first time.<br /><br />In the ensuing fight, NOS-4-A2 calls upon the help of the mind-controlled XR, whom he has dubbed "Little One", to attack them. Buzz and Mira escape and try to come up with a plan while NOS-4-A2 works to use the entire station against them. The energy vampire eventually catches up with Buzz, and the two engage in combat. In the midst of the fight, Booster catches up with XR and reminds him that he is a Space Ranger, not the slave of an energy vampire. Snapping back to his senses, XR drains NOS-4-A2's energy, powering him down.</div>

The Slayer
<div style="text-align:justify; text-align-last:right;">After being imprisoned on PC-7 for an undisclosed amount of time, NOS-4-A2 escaped to Tradeworld where he became notorious for preying on hapless robots, such as vendbots. One such case incited the rage of the young Savy SL2, who made it her goal to take NOS-4-A2 down in revenge for draining her robotic parents. But when Buzz and XR got involved, NOS-4-A2 shifted his focus to the robot Ranger, desiring revenge for XR putting him away. XR attempted to use his original method of powering the energy vampire down but failed, due to NOS-4-A2 having installed a randometer in his power grid. Savy's re-involvement saved XR from NOS-4-A2's clutches, but the vampire escaped into the sewers.<br /><br />Buzz, XR and Savy pursued him, discovering his lair and miniature shuttle that resembled a larger version of NOS-4-A2's coffin. Buzz discovered NOS-4-A2 was going after the new crystallic fusion reactor due to go online that evening and decided to intercept him there. When Buzz and XR get ready to attack, Savy does so first, leaving her vulnerable to the vampire's attack. Buzz saves her, but NOS-4-A2 drains his suit, leaving Buzz powerless as he snatches up XR and returns to his lair. Buzz and Savy once again pursue, interrupting NOS-4-A2 as he details how he will drain XR within an inch of his life and recharge him to do it all over again as his form of revenge. To stop Buzz, NOS-4-A2 reanimates the dead robots and orders them to attack him. While Buzz is occupied and the vampire attempts to make his escape with XR, Savy drives a specialized draining unit through NOS-4-A2's randometer and drains him of all his power, saving XR and Buzz.</div>

Wirewolf
NOS-4-A2 made his way to the planet Canis Lunis by unknown means, and drew Star Command's attention by his attacks on the machinery there. A confrontation with Team Lightyear and resident Space Ranger Ty Parsec led NOS-4-A2 to bit Ty, an act that thoroughly repulsed him given Ty's organic state. However, the bite and the radiation from Canis Lunis' moon resulted in Ty undergoing a monstrous transformation into Wirewolf, a robotic werewolf creature. Team Lightyear destroyed the moon, but NOS-4-A2 was seen acquiring a small fragment, apparently with designs on its properties.

Dirty Work
NOS-4-A2 goes against Buzz Lightyear's crew, but is ultimately defeated as a result of the crew wearing Professor Triffid's organic suits made using vega-genetic technology. Because the suits did not use electricity, NOS-4-A2 was unable to drain their energy.

Revenge of the Monsters
Having formed an alliance with XL, NOS-4-A2 infiltrates Star Command at the time of Ty Parsec's trial, and uses the fragment of Canis Lunis' moon to transform him into Wirewolf yet again. Using his evil abilities to control Wirewolf, he leads the trio to Planet Z, where they manage to oust Zurg after NOS-4-A2 transforms many of Zurg's Hornets into vampire Hornets. XL then constructs a ray that transforms those exposed to it into Wirewolves, with the intent being that all organic life in the universe will be converted into a robotic food supply for NOS-4-A2. However, after leaving to hunt down Buzz and XR, who remain in their normal forms, XL is made to see that NOS-4-A2 will eventually consume him as well. The unlikely trio then attack NOS-4-A2, freeing the original Wirewolf in the process. In the ensuing conflict, NOS-4-A2 is impaled on the Wirewolf ray and then caught in the explosion of Zurg's lair, resulting in his apparent demise.

Personality
NOS-4-A2 is arrogant; even more arrogant than Zurg. He was created and programmed to destroy Buzz Lightyear and Star Command, defeat not being in his programming. He flaunts his position and power, employs the use of minions to do his bidding, and after his first "failure" becomes his own villain, no longer taking orders from Zurg.

He seems to be vengeful, as he goes out of his way to try and get revenge on XR, and obviously planned it out carefully (as he planned on slowly draining XR so he could feel all of it, and then recharge him and do it all over again).

Unlike Zurg, he seems more serious with what he does. However, like Zurg, he enjoys being evil, and seems to enjoy conquest, as he decides to take over Planet Z, Zurg's domain, and then use Planet Z as his base of operations to take over the rest of the universe. However, almost all of his schemes revolve around NOS-4-A2 feeding himself.

He seems to enjoy draining energy from various machines, having no sense of remorse or pity for those he drains. He also seems to like to try sapping new energy sources, such as power generators, or the energy from the high-tech appliance delivered to Cosmo's Cosmic Diner, which harnessed an unnamed "new energy source" that seemed to hold a lot of power. However, he doesn't seem to enjoy draining batteries, and usually will only do so to feed himself until he can find a better food source.

Abilities
Energy Absorption: NOS-4-A2 can drain energy from robots, machines, weapons, environmental suits, and if no other source is available, batteries. Energy is his sole source of food, and serves to strengthen him. As long as his target is in close proximity, he can absorb its energy and even disintegrate weapons. However, in order to drain a machine, he has to bite it.

Energy Blasts: NOS-4-A2 can fire beams of blue energy from his hands and his mouth to attack his opponents and control machines. They can temporarily stun a target.

Finger Rays: Although never used in battle, NOS-4-A2's fingers have been shown to be able to peel back and emit a fiery-hot beam similar to a blowtorch that can heat up and even melt some metals given time.

Flight: Possessing no feet or wheels, NOS-4-A2 moves around by hovering a few inches above the ground. For long-distance travels or heights more than a few meters, he uses his wings instead. His wing's skeletal structure consists of red spines, the wing itself being made up of red-orange-colored energy when in use.<br /><br />Mind Control: By biting a robot or a machine (or using energy on machines or robots he has already bitten) NOS-4-A2 can simultaneously drain it and hack into its systems, installing a mind control program that enables him to command it in any way he pleases.<br /><br />Monocle: NOS-4-A2's left eye serves more of a purpose than a simple eye. Emitting a beam of red light, NOS-4-A2 can hypnotize robots and apply a similar type of mind control (though with limited duration) as with his bites.

Randometer: NOS-4-A2 had once installed a randometer in his power grid to prevent others, like XR and Savy SL2, from draining him dry. Instead, it sends a current of energy as backlash to the opponent. However, the randometer was destroyed when Savy impaled NOS-4-A2 in the chest with her specialized power absorption unit.

Voice Imitation: NOS-4-A2 can easily imitate someone else's voice.

Trivia
<div style="text-align:justify; text-align-last:right;">
*It is no secret that NOS-4-A2's name is a play on the word "Nosferatu", synonymous nowadays with "vampire". In fact, he was named in homage to the vampire character in the silent film Nosferatu, an unauthorized film adaption of the gothic horror novel Dracula.
**According to the DVD game for The Adventure Begins, Zurg knowingly named him after the film.

*In a recent interview with the fans, it was revealed that Tad Stones was behind the concept, design and color scheme of NOS-4-A2's character.

*Ironically, the term "energy vampire" already existed before NOS-4-A2, but it was more commonly referred to as a "psychic vampire". These beings were reputed to feed off of the life force of living creatures.
**The term "energy vampire" is also used metaphorically, to refer to people whose influence leaves a person feeling exhausted, unfocused and depressed, without ascribing the phenomenon to psychic interference. The term was given a more literal sense in the conception of NOS-4-A2's, as he feeds off of electrical energy.

*Both of his deaths involve him being impaled through the chest, likely as a reference to the famous traditional vampire slaying method of driving a wooden stake (traditionally elder wood) through the vampire's heart.
*<span style="text-align:start;">Interestingly, NOS-4-A2 has a British accent and uses various British phrases such as "Smashing", "Jolly good" and frequently says "Lovely" in response to something that pleases him. What makes this interesting is most vampire characters at the time were based on Dracula and given thick Romanian accents. However, Dracula did move to England in the novel of the same name.</span>

Zurg is Buzz Lightyear's arch-nemesis, and the biggest threat to Star Command and the Galactic Alliance. His main goal is to conquer them and rule over the galaxy. However, Team Lightyear continually thwarts his plans.

Physical Appearance
Zurg is a very tall alien with purple skin, red eyes, and neon green teeth (though this appears to be part of his helmet), long gray gloves, and always wears the same purple armor and a fancy robe. When he speaks, his tone fluctuates often.

Zurg has a "Z" emblem on the front of his cape. The emblem is a secret button which can, when pressed, activate Zurg's rocket boot allowing him to fly.

Although not obvious at first, due to his long robes obscuring them all the time, he does indeed have feet, once stating that he owns a pair of rocket boots that he "got on sale".
Just as we know next to nothing about Commander Nebula's backstory, neither do we know how Zurg became an Evil Emperor. He owns a vastly powerful, sinister empire that constantly threatens the sanctity of the galaxy and the Galactic Alliance. It is also not shown what planets he possesses, but it is apparent that he owns several; such as the mining planet in "Shiv Katall".

In one episode, "Stranger Invasion", he told Buzz Lightyear that he was his father; however, this was a ploy to distract Buzz, which led to Zurg taking the upper hand. He was quick to pass off the claim as a "Made You Look" scheme.

Personality
Evil Emperor Zurg is not your usual despicably evil supervillain. Despite being the most evil, nefarious villain of the galaxy for years on end and a constant thorn in the side of Star Command, Zurg has been known to take himself less than seriously, and actually seems to have a well-developed (if demented) sense of humor.

His evil schemes are routinely less-than-stellar in design (such as one scheme to make children afraid to eat their vegetables so that years later they would be too weak to fight when he invades...a plan which only Buzz thought clever), and he is quick to shunt the blame for failures onto others' shoulders (usually his Grubs or Brain Pods).

His main downfall whenever fighting against Buzz Lightyear, his nemesis, is the trademark error of every villain: the gloating monologue. Because of this, Zurg has never won out of the 3,247 times he's tried.

He has a strange fear of being touched, mentioning something about "personal space" and "cooties" in the episodes "The Torque Armada" and "The Main Event".

He is also somewhat picky about his schemes, claiming when politicians were being kidnapped that he would never do something "so obvious."

A little-known fact is that Zurg is afraid of the dark.

Abilities
*He has laser vision, but rarely uses it in battle, and seems to use it when losing his temper. Whether this is a species trait or an artificial enhancement is left to the imagination of the viewer.
*Zurg's signature weapon is an Ion-blaster with three pipes. Zurg uses this often, and seems skilled with it, stating at one point that the secret is to squeeze, not pull the trigger, showing he knows well how to use this weapon.
*He also has gauntlets which can transform into weapons (a la Warp Darkmatter's right arm) as seen in "Holiday Time" and "The Main Event".
*In The Adventure Begins he has sharp talons capable of cutting through glass and was shown creating a ball of electricity from his fingers to torture the LGMs with.
**The back box art of the Adventure Begins video also displays Zurg shooting lasers from his fingers, but this ability was never seen on the show.
*Zurg wears a pair of un-seen rocket boots under his robe to propel him through the air and space in the same respect as Buzz's rocket pack.

Trivia
*Zurg's species is a subject of much debate in the fandom, but there is canonical evidence that rules out him being a robot. He requests a glass of water, eats popcorn, and is shown coming back from recently using the restroom.
*When enslaving the people of Roswell, Zurg states that he is an "Equal opportunity enslaver" a parody of "equal opportunity employer."

Buzz Lightyear of the Alternate Universe, otherwise known as Evil Buzz Lightyear and Evil Buzz, is Buzz Lightyear's evil counterpart from an alternate dimension.

Physical Appearance
He is identical to Buzz Lightyear in every way, except for having facial hair colored dark blue. He wears armour reminiscent to Zurg's, but with pants and without a cape, and the letter L in the center of his chest instead of the letter Z.

History
Background
Not much is known about the Evil Buzz Lightyear's past or how he came to be evil in the first place. He is, however, in possession of the forces and staff which formerly belonged to the Zurg in his dimension; and once mentioned that the Zurg in his world didn't have what it took to be evil. This leads us to believe that it was after acquiring Zurg's forces that he went on to conquer his dimension, destroying most planets along with the headquarters of the Galactic Alliance and Star Command.

The Lightyear Factor
One of Zurg's brain pods accidentally creates a rip in the fabric of the universe, leading the Evil Emperor and his forces to an alternate dimension, where planets like Jo-Ad, Tangea, Bathyos and Capital Planet lie in ruin and Star Command is nothing but cosmic dust. Excited at the prospect of meeting his other self, Zurg boards the counterpart dreadnaught, but comes face to face with an evil Buzz Lightyear instead. Quickly shifting gears, he proposes that he and Evil Buzz work together to conquer his dimension, aptly suggesting that there is a worthy enough opponent for him to face there; none other than his own counterpart, Buzz Lightyear. Though at first reluctant to repeat what he had already done, this intrigues him and Evil Buzz agrees to follow Zurg into his dimension.

Evil Buzz and Zurg teamed up to attack Zurg's Star Command, after first stranding Buzz in the other reality on one of Evil Buzz's prison plants. However, Buzz managed to escape and ally himself with the Space Rangers of Evil Buzz's universe, who traveled to his home universe with him. Together, the Space Rangers of both dimensions succeeded in defeating Evil Buzz's forces, and the primary universe Rangers supplied their counterparts with resources that allowed them to retake their home dimension.

Sunquake
Feeling that Buzz had "ruined" his home universe, Evil Buzz decided to return the favor by forming a partnership-both professional and romantic-with Gravitina. Adopting Buzz's old persona of Shiv Katall, he stole various materials needed for a space station in orbit around Capital Planet's sun. This station was positioned so that Gravitina could use her powers to produce devastating sunquakes that would send streaks of molten plasma hurtling around the galaxy. Eventually his true identity and intentions were discovered, and Buzz and Mira Nova confronted him and Gravitina aboard their space station. Evil Buzz showed his true colors by abandoning Gravitina when the station stated to come apart, and seemingly fell into the sun and perished. Unbeknownst to Buzz and the others, however, Evil Buzz managed to survive by clinging to a piece of debris that floated away from the sun.

Personality
Essentially a nastier, more consistently evil villain than Zurg.

Abilities
He possesses excellent fighting skills, weapons training, etc. He also wields a laser gun which can blow up places in one shot, and a jetpack that is identical to the real Buzz's. Overall, he is much the same as the good ('normal') Buzz.

Quotes
The Lightyear Factor
*"Yes! It all makes sense now. How could I have been so wrong? I'll change my evil ways... (pulls up gun) Or not!"

Sunquake
Trivia
*According to the Adventure Begins DVD game, he was originally going to be from an alternate universe ruled by Zurg.
*Fans tend to call him "Evilyear" as an abbreviation.
*Spock from Star Trek had an evil alternate universe counterpart whose distinguishing characteristic was also facial hair.
